Three traditional recipes remade into romantic Valentines Day Breakfast Treats for your special someone. Classic buttery pancakes cut into the shape of a heart, iced cinnamon rolls formed into hearts, and avocado arugula toast topped with a heart-shaped egg!

Makes 10 pancakes, 4 toasts, 5 cinnamon rolls

Ingredients
  • 1 ½ cups all purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 ½ cups milk
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Avocados

Heart Cinnamon Rolls
Ingredients Equipment
  • 8 inch round cake pan
  • 8 inch round parchments
  • Decorating bag fitted with a #6 tip
  • Baking spray
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Parchment paper

Heart PancakeHeart Pancakes
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  2. Stir in milk, butter, vanilla extract, and egg and whisk until well combined.
  3. Heat skillet on medium low and grease with butter. Grease a heart shaped cookie cutter and place it in the pan.
  4. Pour about ¼ cup of batter into the cookie cutter and allow to cook until bubbles rise to the top. Remove the cookie cutter and flip the pancake. Cook until golden brown (PICTURE at 1:51).
  5. Cut out heart shaped bananas, strawberries, and butter and arrange them on top of the pancakes.

  1. Toast a slice of bread and then scoop avocado into a bowl. Squeeze lemon juice into the avocado and then add salt and pepper to taste. Coarsely mash with a fork.
  2. Spread avocado onto toast and then place some arugula on top.
  3. Heat skillet on medium low and grease the pan with butter. Grease a heart-shaped mold with butter and place it in pan.
  4. Crack an egg into the cookie cutter and cook with the lid on for 2 to 3 minutes. Remove mold and egg from pan (PICTURE at 5:30).
  5. Place egg on top of the toast and repeat for as many pieces as you would like.
Heart Cinnamon RollsHeart Cinnamon Rolls
  1. Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  2. Remove cinnamon rolls from canister. Unravel each roll and shape strips into hearts (PICTURE at 6:56). Arrange in a greased and lined cake pan.
  3. Bake for 15 to 17 minutes. Allow to cool in the pan for a few minutes and then transfer to a cutting board to cut out individual cinnamon rolls.
  4. Scoop glaze icing into piping bag and drizzle on top of cinnamon hearts. While the icing is still wet, place sprinkles on top.
