BLTA with Chipotle Mayo
Things you'll need
Ingredients- 8 slices turkey bacon
- 8 slices bread (sourdough)
- 2 tomatoes, sliced
- 1 avocado, sliced
- Romaine lettuce leaves
- 1/2 cup mayonaise
- 2 teaspoons adobo sauce (from can of chipotles in adobo)
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Let's get started!
- Mix all the chipotle mayo ingredients together in a small bowl, set aside.
- Cook the turkey bacon in a pan until desired crispness. Remove and set aside.
- Slice the avocado and tomato.
- Lightly toast the bread.
- Spread the chipotle mayo on one slice of bread, then layer turkey bacon, lettuce, tomatoes and avocado, and top with a second slice of bread.
