Deadpool Pizza
Things you'll need
Ingredients- 3 cups all purpose flour, separated in halves
- 1 packet active yeast
- 1 ½ teaspoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup water
- 3 cans sliced black olives
- 2 packages pepperoni
- 1 jar pizza sauce
- Shredded mozzarella cheese (1 bag)
- Sliced mozzarella cheese (2 slices)
- Medium mixing bowl
- Whisk
- Electric mixer with dough attachment
- Large mixing bowl
- Olive oil
- Rolling pin
- Large pizza pan
- Teardrop cookie cutter
- Pizza cutter
Let's get started!
- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk warm water, sugar, and yeast until frothy.
- Add in the first half of flour (1½ cups) and mix with a fork until it forms a loose dough. Mix in oil and salt.
- Mix the dough in an electric mixer on a medium speed with the dough hook attachment. Slowly mix in the second half of flour (1½ cups). Continue mixing for another 3 to 4 minutes until dough forms.
- Lightly coat the inside of a mixing bowl with olive oil. Place the dough in the bowl and let it sit out at room temperature for about half an hour to rise.
- Roll out the dough and place it on a large pizza pan. Preheat oven to 450ºF.
Time to decorate!
- Spread pizza sauce on the dough, leaving an inch or two along the edges for the crust.
- Sprinkle a thin layer of shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce and then cover with a layer of pepperonis.
- Use a cookie cutter to cut a teardrop shape out of a mozzarella slice. Cut the tear drop in half vertically (PICTURE at 6:23). Place the cheese slices onto pizza where eyes should be. Use olives to fill in for the black part of the mask.
- Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until the crust turns golden brown. Remove and let cool completely.
