Dove® Hot Cocoa Jars
Had so much fun making these homemade holiday treats & decorations!
Yield: makes 3 cups of hot cocoa
Things you'll need
Ingredients- ¼ cup plus 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- ¼ cup sugar
- 9 crushed peppermint candies
- 6 DOVE® Promises
- 1/2 cup mini marshmallows
- 3 cups milk or almond milk
- 12 ounce mason jar
- Gift tag
- Twine
- Pen or marker
- Saucepan
Let's get started!
- In a 12 ounce mason jar, spoon the unsweetened cocoa powder.
- Carefully spread the sugar evenly on top.
- Place 5 DOVE® Promises on the sides of the jar and one in the center.
- Add the mini marshmallows.
- Optional: Tie a gift tag around the mason jar with string or ribbon.
Prepare the hot cocoa!
- Pour the contents of the jar in a bowl and unwrap the DOVE® Promises.
- In a medium saucepan, heat the milk for about 2-3 minutes on medium-low heat.
- Add DOVE® Promises to the milk and stir constantly with a spatula until melted, about 1-2 minutes.
- Add the cocoa, sugar and peppermint and stir until smooth.
- Pour into a mug and top with mini marshmallows.
